Recommended material structure and thickness for a 100g stand-up pouch
For a 100g stand-up pouch, a PET/AL/PE structure with a thickness of approximately 120–160 microns is typically recommended; this is a common configuration in food packaging that offers a good balance between cost and protective performance, though the specific combination should be determined based on your product’s requirements.
If your product has a shorter shelf life, you might consider a PET/PE structure with a thickness of approximately 90–120 microns. Suitable for general food products, this material minimizes costs but is not ideal for products that are light-sensitive or require long-term moisture protection.
A PET/NY/AL/PE structure is suitable for larger or heavier products; the NY (nylon) layer enhances tear and puncture resistance. A thickness of 160–200 microns is recommended for this configuration.
